Jointly established by automotive electronics enterprises, scientific research institutions, universities and industry associations in Huadu District, the Alliance will be guided by the principles of "connectivity, interaction, co-construction, and benefit sharing” to build a platform for talent exchange and cooperation, which through pooling of resources of government, schools and enterprises, will provide solid talent support for the high-quality development of the regional automotive electronics industry, and help build an internationally competitive automotive electronics industry cluster.

At the inaugural meeting, Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company was elected as the first rotating president. The pressing down of the start button by the District leaders, college representatives and representatives of the rotating president together marked the begining of the journey of the Alliance.

The next of the Huadu District Automotive Electronics Industry Talent Alliance is to establish a "rotating presidency + special seminar" mechanism; and member units will regularly hold activities such as "Automotive Electronics Industry Development Forum" and "Technology Innovation Salon" around the topics of cutting edge technologies, market trends, and talent cultivation, so as to facilitate accurate matching of enterprise demands with university research and talent supply, making the Alliance a "convergence point" for industrial wisdom and a "strong magnetic field" for resource integration.

On the day of the event, Huadu Talent Development Center signed memorandum of cooperation on automotive electronics talent development with the School of Automobile and Traffic Engineering of Guangzhou City University of Technology, the School of Electronic Information Engineering of Guangzhou Civil Aviation College, and Guangzhou Huafeng Senior Technical School respectively, opening a new chapter in the collaborative cultivation of talents between school and enterprise.

Li Lifu, Dean of the School of Automobile and Traffic Engineering of Guangzhou City University of Technology, said that with focus on the development of the automotive industry chain in Huadu District, the school would sent more talents in the field of automotive electronics for the development of enterprises and regional economy. “By giving full play to our unique advantages in integration of industry and education, of entrepreneurship and innovation activity, and of competition and innovation, We will join forces with automobile companies to build an intelligent vehicle and new energy vehicle industry college, and to develop industry-education integration courses and targeted training programs."

Moving forward, the Alliance will deepen the cooperation between enterprises and universities and scientific research institutes, and promote scientific research achievements march from "laboratory" to "production line" through industry-university-research docking activities, so as to inject technical momentum into enterprise innovation; it will promote schools and enterprises to jointly build industrial colleges and training bases between, to implement "order-based" talent training approach, in which tailored courses will be provided to cultivate more compound talents who are "proficient in theory, skilled in practice, and capable of innovation”, so that talent growth and industrial development can form a virtuous cycle.
