Against the roar of construction machinery, the second phase of Guangdong Meihua Aviation project officially started in Huashan Town recently. This marks a solid step forward in the journey of Huadu District to deepen industrial upgrading and build a new highland for the regional aviation industry.

600 million yuan is to be invested to

build a modern aviation industrial zone

The second phase of Guangdong Meihua Aviation project plans to invest a total of about 600 million yuan, occupy 11.5 acres of land, with a planned floor area of about 158,000 square meters. The project will focus on aviation-related industrial ecosystem, place emphasis on the introduction of aviation training, general aviation equipment, avionics, and other aviation core industries, and explore such front-line strategic emerging industries as next generation information technology, intelligent manufacturing, biotechnology, and auxiliary medical equipment, to accelerate the cultivation of a "specialized, refined, differentiated, and innovative" industrial ecosystem that will empower the high-quality development of the regional economy.

The project plans to create a full-cycle industrial carrier model featuring "stand alone headquarters building + standard factory buildings + customized space" that will provide flexible and high-quality growth space for key enterprises in the park. In terms of hardware, the park will integrate 5G smart management, intelligent security, and other green technologies, combined with shared laboratories, conference spaces, government service centers, cultural squares, talent apartments and sports spaces, to create a smart, convenient and dynamic 24-hour living circle.

Land awarded on June 20, 2025, construction officially began in August, the project is scheduled to be completed accepted in August 2027. The completed project is expected to generate output value of not less than 690 million yuan and tax revenue of not less than 35 million yuan every year, and to create about 2,500 new jobs.

As a leading enterprise rooted in Huadu and deeply cultivating the aviation industry, Meihua Aviation has, since its establishment in 2017, gradually established a number of comprehensive forms of business, including aerospace party building base of new economic and social entities in Huadu District, aerospace science popularization base, and Meihua aviation theme hotel. Its full-motion flight simulator, cabin simulator, Gruber trainer, Bombardier business jet, rocket lift-off VR experience, etc., have made it an internet-famed check-in point in South China.

"The groundbreaking of the second phase of the Meihua Aviation project marks the beginnin of a new chapter of the aviation industry cluster in Huashan Town." The relevant person in charge of Huashan Town said that the next step was to go all out and play the role of a good "waiter", "guarantor" and "escort", setting up a special project service team to provide all-round supports and guarantees, and create an optimal environment for the smooth progress and early commissioning and operation of the project.

Huadu is now focusing on building a new pattern of industrial development of "one core, two cities, and three ports": relying on the "Huadu Lake Digital Intelligence Pioneer Core" to accelerate the development of the "Intelligent Network-Connected New Energy Automobile City" and the "International Aviation City", and the building of "International Fashion Intelligent Port", "Airport-based Digital Intelligence Port" and "Cross-border E-commerce International Hub Port".

The start of construction of the second phase of the project is a vivid example of Huadu District's practicing of the strategy to "base the city on manufacturing" and "grow the District with aviation"; and it is also a benchmark project in building a modern industrial system of "12635" with Huadu characteristics. The launch of the project will inject strong momentum into Huadu District's plan to cultivate and expand "specialized, refined, differentiated, and innovative" enterprise clusters and seize the commanding heights of competition in aviation and related industries.
