On September 17, Guangzhou Gokin Solar Technology Co., Ltd. signed a countywide strategic cooperation agreement for photovoltaic development with the government of Liannan Yao Autonomous County, Qingyuan. Relevant officials from the Huadu District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, Liannan Yao Autonomous County, and Guangzhou-Qingyuan Command Task Force stationed in Liannan attended the signing ceremony.

Liannan Yao Autonomous County is a minority ethnic community in Guangdong Province that has important ecological function. In recent years, Liannan county, in thorough implementation of Guangdong Province's strategic plan named “Project of High-quality Development of Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns, and Ten Thousand Villages", has focused on building a green and low-carbon energy system to promote high-quality economic and social development in ethnic areas. As the counterpart of Liannan Yao Autonomous County in the assistance through pairing program, Huadu District has consistently adhered to the principle of "meeting Liannan's needs with Huadu's capabilities," and provided strong support in industrial collaboration, resource sharing, and improvement of people's livelihoods.

Gokin Solar Co., Ltd. is a global leading photovoltaic enterprise, and one of its key subsidiary Guangzhou Gokin Solar Technology Co., Ltd. which was introduced and cultivated as a leading enterprise in Huadu District, has become an important engine for regional economic development in 2024. The company, being committed to the R&D and manufacturing of photovoltaic components and the application of green energy in practical scenarios, and having a presence in fields along the whole industrial chain and the capabilities to serve both domestic and overseas markets, has excellent strength and successful experience in investing in and building green projects in Liannan to promote coordinated local economic and social development. This cooperation marks an important step of Gokin Group to rely on its main entity in Huadu District to actively response to and participate in the assistance through pairing program under the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand" project and to performance its social responsibility as a leading enterprise. Following the principles of "government guidance, enterprise players, market operation, and mutual benefit," both parties will leverage Liannan's resource endowment and ethnic characteristics, and combine Huadu's assistance mechanism to jointly create a demonstration project that features at once green energy, ethnic unity, and regional coordinated development. The plan is to assist Liannan in designing and constructing photovoltaic application scenarios with ethnic and regional cultural characteristics that cover specialized agriculture, cultural and tourism facilities, and green energy renovation of public spaces in towns and villages to promote local ethnic unity and rural revitalization.

At the event, responsible persons from Guangdong Energy Group and Guangzhou Gokin Solar had in-depth exchanges and extensive discussions with leaders from Huadu District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau and Liannan Yao Autonomous County regarding the current progress of distributed photovoltaic projects, challenges encountered during implementation, and solutions, emphasizing that photovoltaic projects should integrate deeply with Green and Beautiful Liannan to create a photovoltaic industry with Yao-characteristic that genuinely benefits both Huadu and Liannan.

Liannan Yao Autonomous County expressed sincere gratitude for Huadu District's long-term strong support and sincere assistance, fully recognized the bridging role played by the Guangzhou-Qingyuan Command Task Force stationed in Liannan, and requested that all relevant agencies of the County further strengthen implementation of responsibilities and coordinate efforts to promote the early implementation and result of the project.

A relevant official from the Huadu District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau stated that the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement by the two parties was not only designed to advance the progress of the new model of "two-way empowerment" for assistance and cooperation between Huadu and Liannan, but also a solid practice to implement the Provincial Party Committee's "1310" deployment to jointly promote the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand" project to support green and beautiful ecological construction.; it would explore new paths for assistance work at a new stage and lay a solid foundation for continued in-depth assistance cooperation between the two regions.

The signing ceremony was jointly attended by officials from Huadu District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, Guangzhou-Qingyuan Command Task Force stationed in Liannan, and relevant functional government departments and township leaders of Liannan Yao Autonomous County.
