An event themed 'Reduce Carbon and Support Carbon Neutrality for the National Games' and the launch ceremony of the newly upgraded Guangzhou Carbon Inclusive Platform were successfully held recently. Huadu District enterprises active responded to and participated in the event, fully demonstrating their strong sense of social responsibility and commitment to green practices. It is worth mentioning that three key enterprises—Guangzhou Yuebao Cement Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Pearl River Cement Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Xinruilong Green Building Materials Co., Ltd.—jointly donated carbon credits. With the highest number of participating enterprises at the district level, they provided solid support for achieving the carbon neutrality goals of Guangzhou in the 15th National Games.

The highlights of this donation include: Guangdong Xinruilong Green Building Materials Co., Ltd. taking the lead in donating 7,000 tons of carbon inclusive voluntary emission reduction according to the Guangzhou Methodology for Carbon Inclusion in the Resource Utilization of Construction Waste, demonstrated strong support for green and low-carbon transformation through practical actions; and Guangzhou Yuebao Cement Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Pearl River Cement Co., Ltd. jointly donating 40,000 tons of carbon emission allowance of Guangdong Province, actively practiced green and low-carbon development in the cement industry. All these not only showcase the proactive role of Huadu enterprises under the guidance of the 'dual-carbon' goals but also provide a valuable grassroots practice example for Guangzhou city to build a carbon inclusive mechanism featuring 'government guidance, market operation, and social participation.'

As key forces promoting green development in Huadu District, these three enterprises, consistently following a strategy of sustainable green development, deeply integrate ecological protection concepts into every aspect of production and operation, continuously advance technological upgrades, energy efficiency improvements, and carbon emission control. This collective donation is both a concrete practice of corporate environmental responsibility and an important part of Huadu District's exploration of the integrated development model of 'carbon sink plus industry’. The accurate connection of enterprise emission reduction achievements with the carbon neutrality needs of large-scale games advances the formation of a complete pathway of 'emission reduction behavior—carbon asset conversion—realization of ecological value,' to inject new momentum into green, low-carbon, and circular development of the region.

A relevant official from the Huadu Branch of Guangzhou Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau remarked that this corporate donation would be taken as an important opportunity to continuously promote the deep integration of the carbon inclusion system with green transformation of the industry, to actively encourage more market entities to participate in carbon sink development, carbon allowance surrender, and voluntary emission reduction actions, and to accelerate the formation of a positive development pattern of 'robust emission reductions, active trading market, and effective reinvestment. Next, Huadu District will continue to leverage the advantages of government-enterprise collaboration, explore new application scenarios such as 'carbon sink + finance' and 'carbon sink + culture and tourism,' and strive to build a demonstration area for carbon neutrality practices with greater exemplary impact, so as to contribute Huadu's strength in Guangzhou's achievement of its 'dual-carbon' goals.
