On November 26, the Commissioning of J&T Express Guangzhou Transshipment Center and the Greater Bay Area Industrial Park was successfully held in Huadu, Guangzhou. The Center is committed to creating a new benchmark for "smart, green and efficient" modern logistics industry. The event was attended by representatives of relevant units Guangdong Postal Administration, Guangzhou Postal Administration, Guangzhou Airport Commission, and relevant agencies of Huadu District, as well as Liu Wei, CEO of J&T Express China, Gao Song, head of J&T Express Guangdong Company, and relevant business officials of the company. 

The largest J&T hub settled in Huadu, Guangzhou 

Invested and constructed by J&T Express, J&T Express Guangzhou Transshipment Center aims to build a "digital, intelligent and standardized" modern logistics comprehensive industrial park, establish a new advanced logistics service system, promote the deep integration of express logistics technology and industry, and create a new ecology for the coordinated development of the express logistics industry. Covering a total area of 64.58 acres, with a construction area of 320,000 square meters, and equipped with industry-leading automation equipment and intelligent management systems, the Transshipment Center has an average daily express processing capacity of more than 15 million orders, making it the world's largest self-built logistics hub of J&T Express. 

The inauguration event was a warm and exciting scene. The event had a stunning opening of Yingge Dance, a form of art that is a national intangible cultural heritage, known as the "Chinese War Dance", and had the honor to appear on the stage of the National Games. Dressed in traditional costumes, the dancers moved with strength and power, showing to the fullest extent the unique charm of Yingge Dance. 

Gao Song, head of J&T Express Guangdong Company, said that with the support and guidance of industry authorities at provincial and municipal levels, and of the Huadu District Party Committee and the District Government, J&T Company closely focused on the object of high-quality development of the industry, adhered to the beautiful vision of "smooth logistics flow", regarded safety as the cornerstone, continued to promote the deep integration of express delivery and manufacturing, and served the development of urban and rural industrial chains in light of local conditions. In selection of the site, J&T fully considered the location advantages and traffic conditions of Huadu District. As home to Baiyun Airport, Huadu District had a perfect air-rail intermodal transport system and a highly developed highway network, which effectively connect the core cities of the Greater Bay Area and even the national logistics channels, providing unique conditions for J&T to achieve efficient distribution and rapid transshipment. He remarked that J&T would take the official operation of the Guangzhou Transshipment Center as an opportunity to provide strong support for e-commerce logistics in the Greater Bay Area, trying to significantly improve regional express processing capacity and performance timeliness, and consequently bring a more efficient and stable express service experience to merchants and consumers. In the future, J&T would continue to place express delivery business at the core, and by leveraging key points to drive broader development and integrating focal initiatives with comprehensive planning, the company aimed to foster industrial growth both locally and across the province, thereby contributing to economic and social progress. 

Finally came the climax of the commissioning ceremony: a magnificent picture was slowly unfolded, symbolizing the official opening of J&T Express Guangzhou Transshipment Center and the embarkment on a new journey. The operation of Guangzhou Transshipment Center will surely inject new vitality into the local economic development. 

Smart technology empowers the building of a one-stop industrial ecology 

Constructed under the guidance of the concept of "driven and empowered by intelligent technology", J&T Express Guangzhou Transshipment Center adopts a double-layer matrix and automatic cross-belt sorting system to realize the automatic operation of parcels through the whole process. The system's three-dimensional layout greatly improves space utilization, increasing the sorting efficiency per unit area by 87%. During the peak seasons, the system can complete intelligently sorting strategy switch within 10 minutes based on real-time data, and the overall operating efficiency can be increased by about 30%. 

With various automation equipment, including NC cross-belts, being deployed on a large scale, the automation coverage rate of the industrial park reaches as high as 90%. With nearly 40 kilometers of automated assembly lines working together with nearly 400 telescopic machines, the accuracy of express sorting is as high as 99.98%. And the in-depth collaboration of the Internet of Things, AI visual recognition and big data algorithms enable full-link intelligent monitoring and dynamic scheduling of the system to ensure that the industrial park achieves a continuous operation rate of more than 99.5%. 

As to functional planning, the industrial park's five functional areas, inbound operation area, outbound operation area, J&T cloud warehouse, office area, and talent apartment, form a comprehensive industrial ecology integrating warehousing, transshipment, office and daily life. The nearly 50,000-square-meter J&T cloud warehouse, together with the inbound and outbound operation areas in the industrial park, will provide an e-commerce logistics solution of "integrated warehousing and distribution", by which the time from warehousing to transshipment can be shortened to tens of minutes. It will inject new momentum for better performance of J&T in the fields of e-commerce warehousing and distribution logistics, cross-border logistics and supply chain fulfillment. 

Practice green development and build a low-carbon sustainable park 

In addition to empowerment by technology, J&T Express has always implemented the concept of green environmental protection throughout the whole process of industrial park construction and operation. The industrial park has cooperated with China Southern Power Grid to build a 6-megawatt distributed photovoltaic project, with a total area of nearly 30,000 square meters of photovoltaic panels and an average annual power generation of 7.1 million kWh, which will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about 4,100 tons. 

As a blockbuster project in the airport economic circle of Huadu District, the opening of J&T Express Guangzhou Transshipment Center will greatly strengthen the core function of Huadu as a growth pole and air-rail intermodal transport hub in northern Guangzhou. Its role goes beyond a logistics node, but also a key piece in the larger picture of Huadu District's building a modern industrial system and enhancing regional competitiveness. The operation of the project will directly create a large number of jobs, and drive the clustering and development of warehousing, transportation, commerce, finance, and life services, and other surrounding industrial chains, generating a strong "hub economy" effect to inject continuous impetus into the economic growth of Huadu District. 

The opening of J&T Express Guangzhou Transshipment Center is a reshaping of the logistics and economic development pattern of Huadu and even the entire Greater Bay Area. J&T's Greater Bay Area Industrial Park is the company's largest self-built logistics hub in the world, and will greatly improve Huadu's basic logistics capabilities in terms of both hardware and software.
