Promoting the development of the cultural tourism industry serves as an important starting point for improving urban quality, stimulating consumption vitality, and driving economic growth. On March 25, 2026, Huadu District held a symposium of representatives of key cultural tourism enterprises for cooperation matchmaking, designed for the purposes to deeply study and implement the spirit of the provincial and municipal high-quality development conferences, and focusing on the four major aspects of Huadu, namely, "big investment” of cultural tourism projects, "big guidance” of cultural tourism consumption, "big integration" of cultural tourism formats, and "expansion of domestic demand” through development of cultural tourism, conduct in-depth discussions from multiple dimensions such as industrial ecosystem construction, business model innovation, cross-industry collaborative development, sorting out of bottleneck issues, and assisting enterprises in solving difficulties and relieving problems, so as to provide strong support for Huadu to achieve the high-quality development goal in which “industries are strengthened through both commerce and manufacturing, and domestic demand is expanded through booming culture and tourism industry”.
The symposium was filled with warm atmosphere. Xu Shuihong, Planning and Design Director of the Cultural Tourism Innovation Center at Guangdong Provincial Tourism Holdings Co., Ltd., Huang Bin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangzhou Cultural Development Group, Guo Yani, Head of the Marketing Department of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Company Limited, Liu Runbang, Deputy General Manager of Shenzhen Airlines Guangzhou Branch, Hu Shun, Chairperson of Guangzhou Sunac Cultural Tourism City, Li Zhonghua, General Manager of operation at CTS Aranya Jiulong Lake, Sun Zheng, Vice President of and Greater Bay Area General Manager of Bonski, Liu Ke, Vice President of Times Cultural Tourism, Hao Lei, Chair of Tianmeixinli, Su Guohua, Deputy General Manager of K. Wah International South China, Zheng Zhimin, chairperson of Maling Botanical Garden, Zhou Zhishan, chairperson of Lantian Zilin Children's World, and other enterprise representatives gave speeches for exchange purpose and put forward targeted opinions and suggestions; and relevant government agencies of the District responded one by one to the suggestions and needs put forward by the representatives of the enterprises.
The District party committee and the District government thanked all entrepreneurs for investing in Huadu and building Huadu, praising them as the most beautiful "flower gardeners”, and promising to take good care of, offer good serve to, and give good support to every one of them. District leaders said that Huadu, as a District enjoying the core advantages of the air-rail dual hub, backed by the consumer market of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and endowed with good resources, momentum, and potential of cultural tourism development, would closely follow the main work line of “strengthening industries through both commerce and manufacturing, and expanding domestic demand through booming culture and tourism industry”, fully leverage the role of the cultural tourism industry as an 'important engine' of consumption, innovate consumption scenarios, optimize consumption supply, and stimulate consumption potential to continuously inject strong momentum into the high-quality development of Huadu District.
It was necessary to focus on project construction. Adhering to the overall planning of "one chess game", "one-stop" service, and "one chain" integration for the whole region, and establishing and improving the service and guarantee mechanism, all departments should take the initiative to serve in the front, effectively solve problems for the development of cultural tourism enterprises, to ensure project construction and enterprise development.
It was necessary to focus on products and services. Support enterprises to innovate and develop high-quality, differentiated and characteristic cultural tourism products, continue to promote the renewal and upgrading of existing cultural tourism projects, focus on cultivating a number of cultural tourism IPs with Huadu characteristics, and lead the consumption trend with high-quality supply and services.
It was necessary to focus on attract traffic with the hub Fully tap the surging cultural tourism consumption potential nurtured by large hub + large projects, innovate publicity forms, build an all-media publicity matrix, plan all-round and full-time publicity, and strive to convert more "transit traffic" into "economic increment".
It was generally agreed by the representatives of participating enterprises that Huadu District had not only rich natural resources of mountains, rivers, forests, fields and lakes and profound cultural heritage, but also had efficient and considerate government services and a first-class business environment, which had further strengthened enterprises’ confidence in investing and developing in Huadu, and that their companies would in the future increase investment, and deepen cooperation and collaboration, working together to make Huadu's cultural tourism industry bigger and stronger.
