Educate with 'AI' for the Future! Huadu Dual Center Officially Launched

Illuminate dreams with technology, and empower the future with AI. On April 10, the Huadu District Science Education Center and Artificial Intelligence Education Center were officially inaugurated. Honored by the presence of leaders from the Huadu District Party Committee and District Government and attended by relevant officials from the District Education Bureau, heads of various education guidance centers, and responsible persons of benchmark schools of AI empowered education, and youth academy base schools, and representatives from charitable enterprises, this event marked a new stage of Huadu's digital transformation of education and also signaled a key measure of Huadu District to implement the national strategy of strengthening the country through science and education, deepen the 'double reduction' in scientific education, and build an educational innovation highland in northern Guangzhou.
Dual centers launched in building a new ecosystem of "one core, four points, four directions”
Leaders from the Huadu District Party Committee and District Government attended and delivered speeches at the inauguration ceremony. It was pointed out in their speeches that to address problems such as the scattered high-quality resources, insufficient practice platforms, and inadequate interdisciplinary integration, Huadu District adopted an innovative model that features "government leadership, enterprise participation, social support, and educational benefit", to introduce equipment donated by philanthropic enterprises to build two high-standard centers integrating production, learning, research, and training, exploring a new path of collaborative education among government, schools, and enterprises. Three hopes were proposed for the development of the Science Education Center and the Artificial Intelligence Education Center: firstly, they should uphold the principle of fostering virtue and nurturing talents and anchor the direction of education, cultivating a sense of patriotism and national responsibility among young people, and helping them establish the aspiration of "advancing technological innovation to strengthen our country"; secondly, they should focus on enhancing the intrinsic quality of education, building distinctive brands, improving the system of specialized curricula, and striving to become provincial and municipal demonstration bases for science education; and thirdly, they should strengthen coordinated collaboration, pooling the efforts of all parties in education to build an ecosystem of "comprehensive science education", and promote the inclusive sharing of high-quality resources.
Released officially at the spot was Huadu District’s AI education development plan of "One Driving Core, Four Breaking Through Points, and Four Expanding Directions”:
One Core: take the Artificial Intelligence Education Center as the core to build a region-wide educational data lake and develop the “Huadu Intelligent Brain” large model.
Four Points: By 2027, build 20 AI benchmark schools, cultivate a pioneer team of 100 teachers, create 100 plus excellent teaching cases, and establish 100 AI digital classrooms.
Four Directions: Achieve comprehensive coverage of specialized training, specific research projects, scenario expansion, and platform empowerment, constructing a new ecosystem for intelligent education.
Move into the future classroom and experience the new form of education
After the inauguration ceremony, the leaders and guests visited the "Dual Center" room on the 7th floor of the District Teaching and Research Institute, where they immerse themselves in the infinite possibilities of AI-empowered education.
The education data cockpit, in which a "digital base" and "smart brain" will be built to manage the education system of the whole District, brings together data such as education quality monitoring, teaching and research organization, training and competitions, and campus safety of the whole District to provide strong support for educational decision-making.
In the AI-empowered education exhibition area, students from Huadu School Affiliated to South China Normal University were experiencing "future learning": students in the AI study room using the AI-powered precision learning system enjoyed personalized human-computer collaborative teaching; the Honedu Digital Intelligence AI psychological assessment system was used to perform regular mental health monitoring of students, contributing to the building of a guardian network of home-school-community trinity; and in the AI sports corner, AI visual automatic counting and posture analysis was applied to skipping rope, standing long jump and other projects realize, making sports training more scientific and interesting.
In the smart classroom, two AI-enabled lessons were in play simultaneously: teacher Deng Xuanhui was using non-perceivable technology to teach "A blind man and his eyes", during which the AI system imperceptibly collects students' learning status and provides real-time feedback on learning situation analysis; and teacher Xie Xiaojie was using smart paper and pen technology to give a writing class "Truth in the Subtleties", during which what the students wrote on paper with pen was digitized in real time, and the entire class's thinking trajectories of the whole class were displayed on the teacher's terminal in real time.
The smart mechanical manufacturing exhibition area was particularly eye-catching. The exhibition area gave an intuitive presentation of the working principles of pure electric, gasoline electric and hybrid models by displaying the flow of electric current, helping the audience clearly understand how automobiles operate. The VR car driving experience project allowed students to immerse themselves in the charm of intelligent driving. The video, showing how AGV logistics trolleys shuttle in an orderly manner, and the robotic arms perform accurate welding in the intelligent production workshop, demonstrating the speed of "Huadu Intelligent Manufacturing" that sees the rolling off of a car in 57 seconds, allowed students to feel the strong industrial pulse of "Made in China" up close.
In the 3D cultural exhibition area and the robot competition area, the charm of science and technology was in full play: 3D printers were buzzing when students' creative designs were changed from digital models to physical products; the drone football competition was fierce, where 6 students controlled the drones to shoot through the ring; and students learned how to program robots with the help of instructors in the VEX IQ Robotics Training Area.
In the smart kitchen, the smart canteen system created by Pushi Technology is demonstrating itself: AI food recognition, nutrition and health analysis, pay by face, and the digitalization of the whole chain from purchase, sales and storage to food safety testing in the kitchen.
Restart after 429 national awards
Since its establishment in January 2024, the Huadu District Youth Academy of Sciences has built a new science education system that "connects inside and outside of the school, integrates multiple disciplines, and bridges university, secondary school, and primary school education": it has won a total of 429 national awards, 753 provincial awards, and 723 municipal awards; 4 district-level science and technology high schools have been recognized, and 12 science academy base schools have been cultivated; digital intelligence teaching scenarios such as smart paper and pen and non-perceivable AI classrooms have been implemented in more than 50 primary and secondary schools. With its official joining of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Science Education Alliance in July 2025, a "Huadu model" of collaborative education by schools, enterprises and communities has been built.
The construction of the "dual center" will rely on the resources of the Council of the Youth Academy of Sciences and the collective strength of enterprises, institutions, and scientific research institutes such as Honedu Digital Intelligence, iFLYTEK, Hitevision Technology, Ruixi Maker, Etone Education, Wadley Eye Hospital, and the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, to form a strong synergy of AI education.
Three years of deep cultivation has produced fruits and laid foundation for the future. Huadu District will continue to use AI as the engine, keep the bottom line of safety, and accelerate its pace towards the goal of “artificial intelligence education demonstration area that leads in the province and is well-known in the country"!
