On April 15, the 139thChina Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) officially opened at the Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangzhou, kicking off a 21-day global trade feast. Closely following the theme of "Openness, Integration, and Smart Chain to the Future", and focusing on the "new, green and smart" development trends, this session of Canton Fair set new records in terms of exhibition scale and number of exhibitors. Huadu District demonstrates strong momentum, organizing 204 enterprises to make brilliant appearance at 686 booths, with both the number of participating enterprises and number of booths ranking first among all districts in Guangzhou city. The solid exhibition strength enables the District to continuously enhance the luster of ‘Made in Huadu' as a foreign trade brand, showcasing its strong confidence in the high-quality development of the region's foreign trade.

The Canton Fair is an important window for China's opening-up to the outside world and the core platform of global trade. The 139thsession will be held in three phases, with a total exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, 75,700 booths, and over 32,000 exhibitors, all of which were significantly higher than previous sessions. It is worth mentioning that about 3,900 enterprises participated for the first time, injecting fresh vitality into the exhibition. As of the eve of the opening, 287,000 overseas buyers were pre-registered, an increase of 20% year-on-year; with new buyers from the "Belt and Road" countries, Latin America, Africa and other regions increased significantly, the trade momentum continued to rise.
In this highly expected global trade event, Huadu shows its strength as a district with strong foreign trade power, leading the city in terms of delegation scale. Information showed that the number of exhibitors and booths of Huadu District in this Canton Fair rank first in Guangzhou city; in particular, its new brand booths account for 41% of the city.
