On the morning of July 21st, the 6th Intellectual Huadu · Talent Morning Tea Party was held in Huadu District, where leaders of the District Party Committee and District Government talked over morning tea with representatives of high-level talents and entrepreneurs of Huadu in the field of new material industry about the future development of Huadu’s new material industry in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, trying to build a "bridge" connecting government and enterprises.

　　Invited to the morning tea party were 6 entrepreneur representatives from Guangdong Simpact Technology Corp., Guangzhou Keyuan Innovative Material Co., Ltd., Apower Electronics Co., Ltd, Guangzhou Shitian Material Technology Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Ruihe New Material Technology Co., Ltd., and representatives of high-level talents, including Professor Min Yonggang, Director of the Institute of Graphene and Emerging Materials at Guangdong University of Technology, and foreign associate of the Russian Academy of Engineering, and Xu Zhiping, Director of Guangdong Yueke Venture Capital Management Co., Ltd. The participants exchanged ideas with focus on the development trend of new material industry and investment opportunities.

　　Huadu's new material industry has reached a certain industrial scale, and demonstrates strong industrial innovation ability and sufficient development momentum. Statistics show that in 2022, there were 191 industrial enterprises above-scale companies upstream and downstream along the new material industry chain, achieving a total industrial output value of 16.917 billion yuan. 3 of the 4 national key SRDI (specialized, refined, differentiated, and innovative) Little Giant enterprises in Huadu are in the new material industry; 5 of the 16 national SRDI Little Giant enterprises are in the new material industry; 44 new material enterprises have been recognized as provincial SRDI small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and 52 new material enterprises as innovative SMEs.

　　At the morning tea party, entrepreneurs analyzed difficulties and bottlenecks, shared the latest development information of the industry, and jointly explored new directions and paths for industrial transformation on the basis of the development of the new material industry, trying to add additional momentum to the high-quality development of Huadu.

　　Min Yonggang, Director of the Institute of Graphene and Emerging Materials at Guangdong University of Technology, and foreign associate of the Russian Academy of Engineering, introduced the typical application scenarios of polyimide in four dimensions: "chip" (chip packaging), "screen" (flexible display), "auto" (new energy vehicles, and energy storage), and "composite" (composite materials for automotive parts).

　　Xu Zhiping, Director (head of new materials industry group) of Guangdong Yueke Venture Capital Management Co., Ltd pointed out that great attention should be focused on high-end, intelligent and green development, the three major trends of new materials industry, to extensively attract intellectual resources from universities and research institutes for the cultivation of strategic emerging industries.

　　Chen Weixu, Chairperson and General Manager of Guangdong Simpact Technology Corp said: "It is hoped that local investment institutions in Huadu increase their investment in local enterprises to better help their growth and expansion in Huadu; and that efforts are made at the same time to further promote exchanges and cooperation among enterprises for synergy in R&D force to jointly create a number of high-quality products that speak for the industry." 

　　Wen Jianghe, Chairperson of Guangzhou Shitian Material Technology Co., Ltd: "Enterprises of late have been working on, and achieved much in domestic substitution in the automotive industry; and the next step is to continue active explorations in the direction of high-end, intelligent and green industrial development."

　　Chen Jipeng, General Manager of Guangzhou Ruihe New Material Technology Co., Ltd. said that the main application of their silicone materials was in the field of baby products and medical and health care, and their next move would be to do a good job in the research and development of basic raw materials to improve supply security.

　　Cai Changshen, Vice Chairperson and General Manager of Guangzhou Double One Latex Products Co., Ltd, said: "We are thankful for the efforts made by Huadu District Party Committee and District Government in supporting the development of existing enterprises in Huadu, and the company will further enhance our research and development in the field of polymer materials, so that we can make greater contributions to the development of Huadu.” 

　　Yang Haijun, Deputy General Manager of Apower Electronics Co., Ltd said that their company's next step would be to increase investment in research and development in the field of recycled materials, and better assume social responsibility by adhering to the road of energy conservation, environmental protection and green development.

　　Xu Yingbin, Chairman of Guangzhou Keyuan Innovative Material Co., Ltd. said: "As an enterprise rooted in Huadu for 30 years, Keyuan has been deeply impressed by the development and changes of Huadu. The company is looking forward to continuing the effort to become better and stronger, and better give back to the country and the people. ”

　　"The main purpose of the morning tea party is to create a relaxed atmosphere of government-enterprise communication, enabling the government to better listen to the voice of enterprises, understand their needs, establish a regular mechanism for communication and contact between government and enterprises, and solve urgent and difficult problems of enterprises in a targeted manner, and at the same time to further improve policy measures for the creation of a better business environment." According to the main leaders of the District Party Committee, small and medium-sized enterprises and private enterprises are an additional major force for the development of Huadu; and the District will actively build more effective platforms to promote enterprises upstream and downstream of the industrial chain to engage in industry-university-research institute exchanges, and provide private enterprises in Huadu with a more comfortable and carefree climate through more accurate and powerful policy measures and better services.
