In order to further study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions during his visit to Guangdong, to conscientiously implement the "1310" specific deployment of the provincial party committee and the "1312" plan and initiatives of the municipal party committee, to focus on the primary task of high-quality development, and to promote the construction of a modern industrial system supported by the real economy, on August 31, District Party Secretary Xing Xiang led all the members of the Theoretical Study Central Group of Huadu District Party Committee to visit Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd and presided over a symposium.

The Group paid on-site visit to GAC Aion New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd and GAC Research Institute, studied again the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection tour of GAC Group, gained a thorough understanding of the General Secretary's visionary insight of the development trend of the industry and technology, and his deep care for Guangdong and Guangzhou, and obtained deep knowledge of the history of GAC Group's development and its latest achievements in scientific and technological innovation, so as to strengthen theoretical study to guide the development and practice, and deepen investigation and research to promote the solution of development problems. Among the visiting group were Li Xiaodong, Deputy Secretary of Huadu District Party Committee and District Mayor, Li Bo, Leading Party Members Group Secretary, and Director of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress, and Chen Jiafei, Leading Party Members Group Secretary and Chair of the District Committee of Political Consultative Conference.

On behalf of the District Party Committee and District Government, Xing Xiang expressed her heartfelt thanks to GAC for its care and help to Huadu and in particular its strong support to this study activity, and her genuine admiration for the GAC’s achievements of development in recent years. She said that the purpose of Theoretical Study Central Group' study tour at GAC was to deeply understand the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his visit to Guangdong, and to thoroughly study GAC's successful experience in strengthening scientific and technological innovation on the basis of independent brand. Over the course of the visit, we learned and we thought, we were deeply inspired and gained much; it was a visit that further strengthened resolution of the Huadu District Party Committee and the District Government to develop the automobile industry with greater efforts, and steadfastly walked down the road of transition from fuel vehicles to new energy vehicles, from traditional cars to intelligent networked vehicles. Huadu District Party Committee and the District Government should take this study as an opportunity, and leverage the upcoming theme education of learning and implementing Xi Jinping's socialist thought with Chinese characteristics in the new era to effectively unify the thoughts and actions of the District to the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions and speeches; and closely centering on the "1310" specific deployment of the provincial party committee and the "1312" plan and initiatives of the municipal party committee, the District should implement the arrangement of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 15th District Party Committee to build, with attitude of "starting a business a second time", an innovation highland of intelligent networked automobile in the Greater Bay Area by focusing on intelligent networked and new energy automobile. It was sincerely hoped that Huadu and GAC could cooperate with each other in the fields of expanding supporting industries of the automobile industry chain, and integration of upstream and downstream resource , etc., and walk hand in hand down the prosperous road of high-quality development of automobile industry.

GAC General Manager Feng Xingya welcomed the arrival of the Theoretical Study Central Group of Huadu District Party Committee, remarking that GAC has in recent years insisted on taking the development road of self-reliance and self-improvement, has continuously increased the R&D investment in scientific and technological innovation, and is advancing towards becoming a world-class scientific and technological enterprise. Huadu District, having a highly clustered automobile industry, with perfect industrial support and complete industrial chain, demonstrated huge potential for new energy vehicle development. GAC was looking forward to strengthened communication and cooperation between the two side in building a strong supply chain of automobile industry, and connecting the upstream and downstream of automobile parts, in order to make positive contributions to the implementation of Guangzhou's trillion-dollar automobile industry strategy.
