The 13th China Guangzhou International Finance Expo (GIFE) was held in Section A, China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex in Guangzhou from June 21 to 23. Themed on "Doing a Good Job in Five Major Fields to Boost New Quality Productive Forces", this session of GIFE had 323 exhibitors in an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, divided into 7 theme exhibition sections, including Achievements of Developing the Nation with the Power of Finance, Party Building in the Financial Industry, Financial Exchanges and Cooperation, Banking Insurance, and Capital Market. More than 30 series of forums and brand activities were held during the event to welcome a total of 47,000 visitors, where financial practitioners, enterprise representatives, investors and professionals from all over the world gathered together to discuss the innovation and development of the financial industry.

Huadu District's specially decorated exhibition zone, consisting of four sections, transport hub, industries, innovation, and livable place, displayed the location advantages, development positioning and industrial layout of the District, and introduced the innovation achievements and experience of the District in green finance reform, aiming to help Huadu District plan and build a high-level growth pole in northern Guangzhou, and create a comprehensive gateway and a new power house for high-quality development in northern Guangzhou.

As the core area of a national green finance reform and innovation pilot zone, Huadu District is focused on doing a good job in green finance, and has actively played its role to lead and demonstrate. The District ranks first in the national evaluation for four consecutive times, contributing its share to help Guangzhou lead in the development of green finance in the country. The District's financial industry has achieved nearly 65 times growth in added value, 2 times in balance of loans, and 4 times in balance of green credit. The District has become home to 6 green bank branches and 2 green bank sub-branches, as well as to a number of special green entities, including the country's first provincial green finance innovation center, and innovation laboratory for property & casualty green insurance products. 11 innovative cases were selected into the People's Bank of China's Collection of Innovation Cases in Green Finance Reform. The District also took the lead in the province to build enterprise carbon account system, and released the country's first carbon credit report. The forestry carbon sink project and the mortgage financing on pig as chattels project of Timian Town were selected respectively by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the National Development and Reform Commission as typical case to be promoted nationwide. The trading volume and amount of carbon quota in the China Emissions Exchange Guangzhou ranked first among the pilot carbon markets. The District was the first in Guangzhou to carry out the comprehensive pilot work of "Village Financial Officials", which was included in the reform and innovation projects of Guangzhou 2023 "One District, Two Brands" campaign.

During the exhibition, the Huadu exhibition area welcomed the research visitors of the provincial and municipal financial departments, who were briefed about the development of Huadu's green finance and gave work guidance. The exhibition area also welcomed visitors from many institutions who came to learn about the achievements of Huadu's green finance reform and innovation and investment promotion policies. The District actively promotes its green finance policies, and tries to provide bridges connecting high-quality enterprises, projects and investment institutions.
