On July 6th, a 5-in-1 conference of "Fashion Special Committee, Industry-Education Integration Base, City Consortium, National Community, and Chinese Design Awards" was held in Shiling, Huadu, Guangzhou, a town known as the "Capital of China's Leather Goods". More than 300 representatives from fashion industries and over 100 vocational colleges gathered together to witness the establishment of the nation's "Fashion Design Special Committee", and the launch of three major projects of "Industry-Education Integration Base in Chinese Leather Capital", "National Industry-Education Integration Community for Digital Creative Design", and "Guangzhou Industry-Education Consortium for Digital Fashion", and to hold a Working Conference of Chinese Design Awards Chief Judges and Expert Judges for Vocational Education Section.

The conference was jointly hosted by the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Education for Teaching Art and Design in Vocational Colleges and the Shiling Town Government, with the purpose to make every effort to promote the high-quality development of modern vocational education and continue to further the concept of integrating teaching, research and production for the development "digital fashion, intelligent design, and product upgrading.

At the opening meeting, the guests jointly initiated three major projects, namely, "Industry-Education Integration Base in Chinese Leather Capital", "National Industry-Education Integration Community for Digital Creative Design", and "Guangzhou Industry-Education Consortium for Digital Fashion"; and certificates were given to the representatives of the first council members. Representatives of vocational colleges participating the event were organized to visit the local professional market and luggage and beauty enterprises in Shiling.

Zhang Yuanyuan, Secretary-General of the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Education for Teaching Art and Design in Vocational Colleges, said that Huadu's fashion industry, represented by bags, beauty and fashionable clothes, had developed strongly in recent years, and it was of great significance to select Shiling as the venue of the 5-in-1 conference. Next, efforts would be made to give full play to the active role of the Fashion Design Special Committee, Industry-Education Integration Base, City Consortium, and National Community to promote fashion design and facilitate the development of the industry, and share the fruits of the integration of industry and education.
